Fast & Slow Shutterspeed
Motion- fast shutterspeed
For the first picture, I've used a shutter speed of approximately 1/800. I used an ISO setting of 100-200, and a white balance setting of auto. I froze Henry jumping over the post. I was about 10 feet away, on the side so I got a profile view of him jumping. By focusing the camera on Henry, the background was blurry, making a good use of positive and negative space. He had a bright red shirt on, similar to the color of the bricks on the building, making him stand out and be the focal point of the picture.
Painting with Light
In the second picture, I had the camera's shutter speed was approximately 25. The light source was a string of Christmas lights, wrapped around Michael's arms. I achieved this effect by having Michael swing his arms up and down. The image created by the string of lights moving reminds me of a wifi bar, of the small lines leading to the longer lines.
Aperture
My second picture, of the yoga mats, shows a shallow depth of field in the background. I had an f-stop of 22 and an ISO of 25600. My third picture, shows a large depth of field, with the whole picture pretty much in focus.I had an f-stop of 22 and an ISO of 6400. My first photo is better, because with a higher ISO and a more shallow depth of field, and colorful mats as the focal point. The mats have a pop of color and the angle of the picture is interesting, with all of the mats in the same space, going the same way.
